The new facility will processshipments ranging from documents and small parcels to palletizedfreight. It will serve areas north to Cranberry Township, east toMonroeville/New Stanton, south to Washington and west to thePennsylvania-Ohio state line.
Staffed by 60 CertifiedInternational Specialists, the new service center will operate 35vans and trucks for pickup and delivery. It will accommodate moresuch vehicles for couriers to load packages from an interiorconveyor system, which includes a raised catwalk for safety andsorting efficiency. It also features three additional dock doorsand new equipment for aircraft container (ULD) handling, all ofwhich will help DHL provide even faster, more efficientservice.
