FedEx Asia Pacific President Jian Lixing said, "Our customersand global climate will benefit from FedEx's' Carbon Neutrality'program. Reducing the impact of carbon emissions is one of FedEx'sefforts to maintain environmental sustainability in Asia andglobally." According to the' Carbon Neutrality 'program, FedEx willcalculate the amount of carbon dioxide produced by deliveringenvelopes globally on an annual basis and collaborate with thenon-profit organization BP Target Neutral to invest in low-carbondevelopment or environmental protection projects to offset theamount of carbon dioxide generated during operations. Theseprojects include: agricultural facilities in the Netherlands, theTanzanian Southern Plateau Grassland Program to cultivate degradedgrasslands into commercial forests, and the gas recovery system forlandfills in Thailand.
