Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest expresstransportation companies, is providing same-day delivery servicefor fresh fruits from Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea to Hong Kong. Thiswill provide access for local Hong Kong consumers to receivehigh-quality farm-to-table seasonal Korean products.

With a comprehensive intra-Asia air network, FedEx offerssame-day delivery service through existing flights from Incheon toHong Kong, operating four times a week. A cold chain facility atthe FedEx Incheon Gateway will be used to preserve the quality andfreshness of these temperature-sensitive shipments prior totransit. Upon arrival at the FedEx Hong Kong Gateway, theseshipments will be unloaded from the aircraft and directly deliveredto customers in downtown.

Comparing the first quarter of 2024 to 2023, a year-over-yearincrease of 6.9% was recorded in the value of imports in Hong Kong,resulting in a total of U.S. $196 million[1].
