DHL E-commerce Solutions, aglobal logistics company under the Deutsche Post DHL Group,announced that it will invest over $300 million in the UnitedStates over the next five years. This investment will expand itsfootprint in the United States by adding 70% of its network area.In addition, the company will add automation and upgrade its IToperating system platform in all of its US distribution centerfacilities.

Due to the continuous growth ofinternational e-commerce, DHL's e-commerce solution is alsoinvesting in a dedicated export gateway for international freightin Cartwright, New Jersey; Franklin Park in Illinois and Whittierin California.

Location of the Midwest ExportGateway

The company's 69000 square footinternational export gateway to Franklin Park opened on July 17,2021, including a TSA screening area. The company will continue tohandle domestic parcel transportation from the second location inMelrose Park, Illinois.

West Coast Exit PortalLocation

The Whittier distribution centerof DHL eCommerce Solutions opened at the end of 2020 and expandedin August 2021. Whittier's location has expanded by 100000 squarefeet, adjacent to its current location for handling internationalpackages and parcels.

Location of Northeast ExitGate

Carteret's international exportportal will open in September 2021. The new 50000 square footcommercial building will include a TSA cargo inspection area. DHLeCommerce Solutions opened a fully automated distribution center inAvenuel, New Jersey in November 2018 and will continue to processdomestic shipments from that location.

DHL eCommerce Solutions currentlyhas 19 distribution centers and three company offices in the UnitedStates, with approximately 4200 employees. This department focuseson providing services to B2C online merchants, transportinglightweight packages and packages domestically andinternationally.
