 FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportationcompanies, celebrated the company’s 40th anniversaryin Singapore by teaming up with the Arbor Day Foundation and theGarden City Fund, a registered charity under the Singapore NationalParks Board (NParks), to plant 80 trees.

The event was held on April 20, 2024, along Siglap Linear Park,with 60 FedEx volunteers participating. With April being GlobalVolunteer Month, FedEx team members were encouraged to cometogether to ‘Drive Forward. Give Back’ by volunteering and doingcountless acts of caring.

This tree-planting event supports NParks’ Plant-A-Treeprogramme, with every tree planted contributing tothe OneMillionTreesmovement. This nationwide movement aims to plant onemillion trees across Singapore by 2030, with the goal of restoringnature back to our city and transforming Singapore intoa Cityin Nature. This program will also bring benefits inreducing midday temperatures in the vicinity by as much as 0.9degrees Celsius.[1]

The tree-planting event signifies the continuation of a successfulpartnership between FedEx Singapore, the Arbor Day Foundation andthe Garden City Fund for the secondconsecutive year. The company also recently launched acloud-based carbon emissions reporting tool, FedEx®Sustainability Insights, giving customers access tohistorical emissions information on their shipments within theFedEx network.
