FedEx establishes a direct agency in Nigeria to supportlocal customers in developing international trade
FedEx, a subsidiary of the Federal Express Group (New York StockExchange: FDX) and one of the world's largest expresstransportation companies, announced that it has established adirect commercial establishment in Nigeria to meet the country'sgrowing international transportation needs.
The establishment of FedEx's direct subsidiaries has enabledNigerian businesses and customers to now access more FedExtransportation solutions. Meanwhile, FedEx's local serviceprovider, Red Star Express Plc, will continue to provideinfrastructure support for ground operations.
Nigerian customers can also use a series of FedEx digital toolsthrough www.fedex.com to make transportation simpler and moreefficient. This includes opening a new account, tracking the statusof shipments, creating transportation air waybills, arrangingcourier pick-up, and managing bills. In addition, FedEx willarrange a dedicated sales and customer technical team to interactwith local customers and provide better logistics expertise to helplocal enterprises move internationally.
Nigeria is the largest and fastest-growing economy in Africa.The African Development Bank predicts that the average economicgrowth rate of the country will reach 3.2% between 2022 and2023.

As Nigeriacontinues to implement its 2021-2025 national development plan toincrease its share of exports to Africa from a base of 20% to 35%[2], businesses will need a range of international services andsolutions to support economic growth
