FedEx Supports Local Vegetable Farming Program to NurtureHealthier Urban Communities in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, August 9, 2023 – FedEx Express(FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of theworld’s largest express transportation companies, collaborated withsustainability-focused environmental organization Treat EveryEnvironment Special (TrEES) to provide fresh vegetables todisadvantaged communities in Malaysia.
From August to October 2023, FedEx will be working with TrEES toestablish a 1,000 square feet community garden in the Klang Valley.FedEx volunteers will be engaged in planting, harvesting, sortingof vegetables and distributing, as well as garden maintenance. OnAugust 6, the first batch of volunteers consisting of 23 FedEx teammembers kick-started the program by planting vegetables in thegarden.
