The FedEx® Sustainability Insights tool was recently honored bythe China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing with the title of“2023 E-Commerce Logistics Innovative ESG Practice” in China.
Created by FedEx Dataworks, FedEx® Sustainability Insights is aninnovative cloud-based data engine using near-real-time FedExnetwork data to estimate CO2e emissions. This tool gives customersacross Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) markets* accessto historical emissions information on their shipments within theFedEx network, including international shipments in China.**Customers can use the data to help make informed decisions on theirfuture shipping strategy in order to reduce their impact on theplanet. The new offering complements ongoing efforts by FedExtowards a goal of carbon neutral operations by 2040.
The FedEx Beijing solar panel project earned the title of “2022E-commerce Logistics Innovation Case” last year. As a pioneer ofsustainable logistics, FedEx has been actively exploring ways toreduce environmental impact throughout its operations. In China,FedEx has invested in areas such as vehicle electrification,sustainable facilities, paperless shipping, and lighting energyefficiency, while at the same time continuously supporting theindustry in establishing a sustainable supply chain.
