FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX),and the world’s largest express transportation company, isgivingDublin businesses greater opportunity to trade globally, withtheintroduction of a new Boeing 767F cargo jet into itsEuropeanfleet.
As part of its ongoing fleet modernisation strategy, thenewfreighter offers more capacity for the existingDublin-London-Parisroute, offering Irish businesses that export tothe UK, andmainland Europe, greater opportunity to ship theirgoods.
The first Boeing 767F to begin service in Europe for FedEx,thenew aircraft brings superior capacity and environmentalperformancecompared to the aircraft it replaces, including noisereduction tothe FedEx fleet as part of the company’s ongoinginvestment in itsEuropean air and road networks.
The newly introduced aircraft operates five times a weekandconnects FedEx hubs in Dublin, London Stansted, andParis-Charlesde Gaulle – one of the major FedEx hubs in Europealongside Cologneand Liège.
The new Boeing 767F can carry up to 91,000 pounds of cargo,whichrepresents an increase in capacity of approximately 16%compared tothe aircraft it replaces. The new freighter is also 9%percent morefuel efficient than its predecessor, which combinedwith the highercapacity, reduces emissions by 21% per pound.

Preparations for the arrival of the new Boeing 767F startedanumber of months ago. Thousands of hours of comprehensivetraininghave been undertaken by team members, including airoperations,ramp agents and technicians.
