DHL Freight, one of the road freight service providers inEurope, celebrated the grand opening of the new warehouse in theManisa Organization Industrial Zone near Izmir, Türkiye on July 5.The facility, with a single digit investment of one million euros,was built to respond to the growing demand of customers inTürkiye's growing economy and logistics industry. For the operationof the facility, the company has created ten new jobs.

"We have chosen tomake significant investments in our own network to meet the growingneeds of our customers and to take advantage of Türkiye's importantlogistics route geography."DHL Freight has built this facility inthe organized industrial zone of Manissa to meet customers'requirements for warehousing services, which can now be providednearby. Uwe Brinks presided over the opening ceremony, and HasanKavci, Managing Director of DHL Freight Turkey, also attended theopening ceremony. This investment is part of DHL Freights FREIGHT2020 strategy, aiming to become the undisputed market and qualityof road freight. To this end, DHL Flight has continuously investedin its network, including more than 200 terminals in 32 countries.Manisa has three logistics parks in Türkiye and is also thelocation of some production, import and export companies in thecountry, "Kavci explained. "Our new warehouse provides anopportunity to play a role in these global businesses."
Companies in Manissa have exported to more than 100 countriesaround the world, with the export value of nearly 3.5 billion eurosin 2017. This makes Manisa one of Türkiye's export cities. About 50employees will work in the new location of DHL Flight, 10 of whomare new members of the company. In addition to warehousingservices, they will also provide customized value-addedservices.
