FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one ofthe world’s largest express transportation companies announced fouradditional weekly flights from Singapore to Sydney, Australia,doubling flight operations between the two countries to eightflights per week. This expansion of our operational strength willbetter support businesses and exporters with increased and reliablecapacity as they trade between Singapore and Australia. Australiais currently Singapore’s fourth-largest trading partner forexports[1]. Singapore is also Australia’s largest two-way tradingpartner[2].

The increase in flights will enhance the movement of goodsbetween both countries and tap into the high e-commerce potentialof both economies. Valued at US$25.7 billion in 2020[3], Australiais the eleventh largest e-commerce market in the world, while theSingapore Business to Consumer (B2C) e-commerce market is worth$4.9 billion[4].
