FedEx Australia and FedEx New Zealand Express ("FedEx"), thesubsidiaries of FedEx, one of the world's largest expresstransportation companies (NYSE Code: FDX), participated in variouscleaning activities in the local community.
Australian employees and their families gathered to clean thewaterways around Plane Spotting Beach, Kyeemagh (Sydney), SuttonsBeach and Redcliffe (Brisbane). This cleaning is part of theyear-end cleaning challenge of the Australian ConservationVolunteers (CVA), and is also the summary of the FedEx careactivities in 2022.
In addition, team members planted more than 8500 seedlings,released 1500 local saplings from choking weeds, and removed morethan 250 kg of garbage from waterways in Australia and NewZealand.
These efforts were the culmination of the employee-ledenvironmental activities held in 2022 as part of the FedEx CareGlobal Program.
190 FedEx team members have invested more than 660 man-hours incorporate social responsibility activities, including water channelcleaning, tree planting, garbage collection and plant maintenanceprograms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide andAuckland.
